William "Bob" R. Hyde

William "Bob" Robert Hyde, 97, of Bedford, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at UPMC Altoona Hospital, Altoona.

Bob was born in Bedford on December 10, 1927, son of the late William and Ida (Suder) Hyde.

On May 12, 1989, he married Glenna (Smith), of Bedford.

He is survived by daughter- Sharon Kaczay, of FL; son- Larry Hyde, of FL; daughter- Sidnie wife of Mark Burton, of New Cumberland; six grandchildren: Angela, Heather, Aaron, Nathan, Daryl, and Douglas; along with 13 great-grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by brother- Richard Hyde and son Clyde W. Frazier.

Bob served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed at Roadway as a truck driver. Bob enjoyed carpentry work and working on his cars. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.

A viewing will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 10:30 -11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford

Interment will be at Bedford Cemetery, Bedford, PA.

Military rites accorded to the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
