Wilma Mae (Cook) Shaffer

May 7, 1932 — April 30, 2018

Mrs. Wilma Mae Shaffer, 85, of Everett, formerly of Spring Hope died Monday, April 30th, 2018 at Pennknoll Village.

Mrs. Shaffer was born in Windber on May 7, 1932,  the daughter of the late Robert and Edna (Miller) Cook.

On October 4, 1952, she married Harry Clyde Shaffer.  He preceded her in death on November 25, 2004.

She is survived by Daughter- Kayrn A. wife of Maynard Claycomb, Volant; Daughter- Edna Mae wife of Gary Wissinger, New Paris; Son- Harry Robert husband of Linda (Brown) Shaffer, Alum Bank; Sister- Vivette Oaks, Florida; Brother- William Cook, Johnstown; Sister- Roberta Jean Riffle, Johnstown. Wilma is also survived by six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren,  one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carol Lynn and a great granddaughter.

Wilma was a member of the Spring Hope Brethren in Christ Church,.  She worked for over 20 years as a cook and with the custodial staff at Chestnut Ridge High School.  Wilma was a wonderful mother, a loving grandmother, a devoted sister & aunt and a loyal friend.  She will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 4th, 2018 with Pastor Merle Horton officiating.

Interment will be held at Stone Church Cemetery, Fishertown.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
