Zona M. (Weaver) Slick

Mrs. Zona M. Slick, age 95, of Friendship Village Road, Bedford, died at 1:50 AM , Friday, February 17th, 2012 at her home, Bedford Township, PA.

Mrs. Slick was born in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County on Saturday, February 3, 1917,  the daughter of the late Josiah and Polly (Yoder) Weaver.

On May 10, 1942, she married Emile R. Slick. In addition to her husband she is survived by Son- John "Sonny" husband of  Sarah (Clark) Stephenson, Sanford, NC; Son- Bryan F. husband of  Pat (Jones) Slick, Marshville, NC; Daughter- Barbara m. (Slick) wife of  James Royer, Mt. Joy; Brother- Alfred G.  Weaver, Davidsville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren,  two great great grandchildren and 19 step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert F. Weaver, Merle J. Weaver, Boyd D. Weaver, Harry D. Weaver and Paul J. Weaver

Zona was a homemaker and a member of the Wolfsburg United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Group in Friendship Village.

A funeral service will be held  at Friendship Center, Friendship Village, Bedford at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 19th, 2012 with Pastor Vickie Jordan, Pastor Adam Kravets and Pastor Randy Rhodes officiating.

Interment will be held at  Cuppett Cemetery, New Paris.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
