Born November 28, 1940, in Cumberland, MD., son of the late Charles and Lottie (Stouffer) Bockhouse.

On September 18, 1965, Charles married Carolyn M. (Yutzy) Bockhouse. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2005.

He is survived by daughters, Jeanne Brumbaugh and Elizabeth Manges and husband Lynn of Manns Choice; girlfriend, Dianne Brummert, Bedford; grandchildren- Rebecca Rouse, Benjamin DeHass, David, Brandon and Daniel Grant and 7 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife, Carolyn, Charles was preceded in death by brother Edward Bockhouse.

A proud Serviceman of the United States Coast Guard from 1958-1962, he spoke highly of his experience.

He designed and constructed 5 houses in Manns Choice on his parent's former farmland for family members. Mr. Bockhouse was a retired General Contractor.

Chuck, a beloved father and grandfather, was a creator and a builder of beautiful things. A man of many interests, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, sailing, camping, grilling, motorcycling, photography and woodworking. Whether riding his Harley Sportster or sailing his sailboat, his love of life and passion for adventure was evident. Spending time each year in Key West, Florida at Big Pine Key was his all-time favorite place.

He appreciated having lived a long life in which he was able to do the things he enjoyed, and he celebrated being the proud head of a family he helped to build on a foundation of love.

Chuck touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all.
