David P. Musselman

David P. Musselman, 73, of Cortland Drive, New Paris, died on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at his home.

Mr. Musselman was born in Duncansville on Sept. 24, 1946, son of the late Kenneth and Idabelle (Teeter) Musseleman.

On July 23, 1988, David married Denise E. (Morton) Musselman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, David Scott Musselman, Altoona; daughter, Misty, wife of Thomas Weyant, Schellsburg; daughter, Ashley, wife of Ryan Kegg, New Paris; daughter, Brittany, wife of Michael Thomas, New Paris; son, David P. Musselman II, husband of Amber Musselman, Everett; brother, Kenneth Musselman, Garrett; brother, George "Rick" Musselman, Claysburg; sister, Vickie Heck, Georgia. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by a sister, Penny Lesher, and a brother, James Musselman.

Mr. Musselman served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was the owner and Barber of Musselman Barber Shop, Bedford.

Dave was a member of the Masonic Lodge #320 F&AM of Bedford, Pleasantville VFW Post #9219, and the Bedford American Legion Post #113. He was also a member of PIAA and ASA and was an umpire and referee of all sports in the county.

David was a member of the New Paris United Methodist Church.

Dave will be deeply and forever loved and missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A private visitation will be held.

A funeral service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg on Thursday, July 23, with Pastor Joy Blackburn officiating.

Interment will be at Cuppett Cemetery, New Paris.

Military rites accorded by Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
