Donald R. Smith, "Duck" "Gummy" "Smitty", 83, of Everett, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Pennknoll Village, Everett, PA.

Donald was born in Bedford on September 12, 1939, son of the late Warren and Naomi (Turner) Smith.

On October 15, 1960, he married his wife Gail in Cleveland, Ohio.

He is survived by son- Lee Smith, of New Paris; brother- Warren Ray husband of Doris (Tew) Smith, of OH; sister- Mary Kay wife of Joseph Dibert, of Bedford; sister- Connie Kirschbaum, of Delmont; sister- Lois wife of Wes Bowser, of IN; along with two great-grandchildren Gage and Lizabeth. Donald is preceded in death by son Ed Smith, and grandsons E. Shawn Helsel and Christopher A. Helsel.

Donald was a member of Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren. He was a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #320 F & AM.

Donald was retired Independent Truck Driver. He enjoyed watching Nascar, horse racing, and street rods. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog Buger.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 3-6 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 6 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Corbett officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Bedford County Humane Society and the Shriners Hospital in Erie.
