She was born in Bedford, PA on January 15, 1941, daughter of the late Dennis and Rose (Imgrund) Feight.

On January 16, 1960, Betty married the love of her life, Roy Clair Callihan.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roy and their children: Danny (Karen) Callihan of New Paris; Bobby Callihan of Alum Bank; Carol Oldham of Boswell and Eleanor Young of Alum Bank. Their grandchildren; Ben (Sara) Oldham, Derek Callihan (fiancé Jane Smith), Jessica Young (Chris Howard), Travis (Vanessa) Callihan, Tabitha Young and Jared Callihan (Alexa Whiteside) and step grandchildren; Ashley (Dave) Deasey and Shane Finnegan. Their great grandchildren; Nathan, Isaiah, Serenity, Leilya, Kataleya, Marilyn, Liam and Adalyn, and step great grandchildren: Emily, Isaiah and Chase. Numerous nieces and nephews. Brothers; James (Sharon) Feight and Paul (Nancy) Feight. Sister, Mary (Stanley) Clark and sister-in-law, Linda Dickens. Sisters-in-law: Bonnie Lambert, Edith Musselman, Betty Jezeskie and Patricia (William) Reno.

Mrs. Callihan was preceded in death by her parents, and infant daughter, Mary Callihan; sister, Suzanne and her husband, Dick Comaty; brother, Patrick Feight and brothers-in-law, Joseph Musselman and Donald Lambert.

Betty always enjoyed singing and when her children were grown, she started performing at southern gospel sings around the tri-state area. Roy was her biggest encourager and accompanied her on all her sings. She recorded a CD of her songs that they sold at sings. They made many friends over the years at the sings. The joy of traveling took Roy and Betty on a six-week drive across Canada to Alaska and then down the coast by ship; a work and witness trip to Guatemala; to all the states but Hawaii; and on a special tour of the Holy Land. Betty loved spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always quick to make you laugh. She enjoyed flowers and had many beautiful beds of them over the years. Betty volunteered as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader and spent many years with the various youth organizations at the churches she attended, becoming a positive influence in many children’s lives. When not busy with those, she would read. She enjoyed meeting new people and turning them into friends. Family gatherings were always special and filled with love and laughter. We will miss her smile and laugh, but most of all her loving spirit.

The family wishes to thank Betty Jezeskie and the team from Kindred Hospice, especially Denise, Michell and Erin for their loving care in our home.  Thank you to the church family and Pastor Dan for all the love and support during this time.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 2-4:30PM and 6-8PM and Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10-11AM until the start of the Celebration of Betty’s life at 11:00AM at the Chestnut Ridge Independant Fellowship Church, on Route 56, Fishertown with Pastor Dan Oldham officiating.
