It is with deep sorrow and much love that we share Gerald (Jerry) W. Replogle, 69, of Bedford was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

He was born in Everett, at Bedford Memorial Hospital, on October 24, 1950, the son of the late James S. and Katherine (Foor) Replogle.

On July 31, 1969, he married Tanya Boden Replogle at Centerville Methodist Church and they shared 51 years together. Along with his wife, he is survived by daughters Jennifer Painter, of Osterburg and Trisha Carey, widow of Tim Carey, of Bedford;  five grandchildren, Cameron and Kallie Painter, and Alijah, Oliver, and Ben Carey; two great-grandchildren, Greyson and Gabriella Painter. Also surviving are siblings Donald E. Replogle and Dennis A. Replogle and wife Brenda Sleighter Replogle, and sister-in-law Blodwyn (Bobbie) Replogle, sister-in-law Cyndee Ford, and sister-in-law Gail Beach, married to Thomas Beach as well as many close nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James R. Replogle, sister-in-law Norma Clapper Replogle, brother-in-law Donald Ford, and an infant son, Brian.

Jerry was a graduate of Northern Bedford High School class of 1968.  He was active in basketball, baseball, and football.  He went on to attend Business School after graduation.  Jerry was also a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard for six years.

His career included working in Sales for various oil companies and Bedford Ford.  He retired from Sheetz Distribution Center as a delivery driver.  After retiring, he was a driver for Med-Van.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Bedford.  He enjoyed coaching his nephews Little League baseball teams for several years and helping with his daughters summer softball teams when they were younger.  Jerry also enjoyed playing cards with friends, going to the beach every summer for family vacations, and watching sports.  He was an avid Penn State, Steeler, and Pirate fan, and liked watching NASCAR.

Jerry loved everything involving his family.  He was a wonderful father and grandfather.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren, his brothers, and his nephews.  He went to all of his nephews sporting events and taught them and his grandsons to fish when they were younger.

Jerry was a quiet, gentle, kind man.  He cared deeply for people and would help everyone.  He will be deeply missed by all the lives that he touched.
