Janis K. (Miller) Cooper

Janis K. Cooper, 71, of Applehouse Road,  Schellsburg, went to her eternal home with Jesus on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at home.

Mrs. Cooper was born in Schellsburg on November 10, 1949,  daughter of the late John "Pete" and Madie M. (Felten) Miller.

Janis is survived by her husband- Donald Cooper,  Daughter- Wendy Young (and Kyle Einhorn), Dallas, TX; Daughter- Sheri Celtruda, Etters, PA; Step Son- Donald E. Cooper, Jr. (and wife Michele), Pittsburgh; Step Daughter- Theresa (Cooper) Miles (and husband Brandon), Pittsburgh; Grandchildren Sarah and Luke Celtruda, Andrew and Zachary Miles, Clayton and Carson Cooper; Sister- Henrietta Adams (and husband Jim), Bedford; Brother- Patrick Stoe (and wife Patty), New Baltimore; Brother- William C. Miller (and wife Nancy), Somerset; Sister- Cindy Robinette (and husband Tim), Schellsburg; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and the family Dog- Peanut.

She was formerly employed at Sunoco in Cessna, Blue Triangle in Everett, and the Radiology Department at UPMC Bedford.

Janis was a member of Bedford United Methodist Church where she was part of the Stephen Ministry Program.

She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 4440. Janis enjoyed crocheting, card making and spending time in her flower gardens. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was always smiling and had a contagious laugh.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 10:00 AM-Noon at Bedford United Methodist Church.

A Celebration Life will be held at Bedford United Methodist Church at Noon on Saturday, January 16, 2021 with Pastor Robert Marsh, Jim Miller and Dr. Merle Correll officiating.  Janis requested that visitors wear colorful and comfortable clothing to celebrate her life.
