John W. Kring II

Fishertown

John Wilson Kring II, 69, of Fishertown, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020.

Born on July  18, 1951 in Windber, PA, son of the late John Kring and Anna Jane (Mickle) Kring.

He married Connie Anne (Daley) Kring on December 15, 1990 at the Manns Choice Church of God, with the Rev. D. Lloyd Abbott officiating, and who tied the know real tight on their Wedding Day, while reciting their vows to one another, Connie quoted a verse from the Bible to John, which reads; "John 1; verse 6 "There was a man sent from God, whose name was John." Connie witnessed many times over the years of their marriage by speaking these words, "John is my Gift from God's heart to my heart." John was a loving and faithful husband who will truly be missed.

One of the proudest times in John's life was serving in the military. He was drafted on March 10, 1971. His lottery number was #90 and he went to Fort Dix and after graduation went to Fort Lee in Virginia. He was then sent to serve in Kaiserlautern Germany, during the Vietnam Era. After his tour of duty in Germany he returned to his old job at the Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown, PA. He then worked for Foremost Industries then spent the rest of his working at the Westinghouse Plant at Bedford (now known as Bedford Materials).

John was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God where he served faithfully in past years on the Pastor and Church Council, he had been a Sunday School teacher, presently serving on the Youth Board and the Audio Visual Engineer Team, was responsible for the Radio Broadcast every Sunday morning on the Bedford Radio Station, Hunters Banquet Director, when the Church Leagues play softball he played short stop, had lots of fun and fellowship. John always had a servants heart where ever he was needed. He helped set up for Veterans meal.

John was a loving and devoted "Pa Pa" to Alexis Dawn and Alivia Paige.

He is survived by wife Connie (Daley) Kring also survived by sister-Valorie (Kring) McCardell wife of Tony Torres of Nashville, TN; Brother- Stanford Worrell of Everett, PA; Brother-in-law- Randal Eugene Daley, husband of Lucy Karen Daley of Central City, PA he is also survived by the following nieces and nephews; Melissa, Mary, Stephanie and Tiffany. Lori, Heather, Rebecca, Sean and James Kelly (J.K.); two granddaughters- Alexis and Alivia.  John was preceded in death by sister- Vanessa Manges.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00AM at the Manns Choice Church of God, 6150 Allegheny Road, Manns Choice with Pastor Aaron Whetstone officiating.

Viewing will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 from 5-7PM at the Manns Choice Church of God.

Interment at Fishertown Cemetery.

Military Rites accorded by Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
