Paul J. Risban

Paul J. Risban II, 74, of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at home, Schellsburg, PA.

Paul was born in Cresson on November 15, 1948, son of the late Paul and Germaine (Durbin) Risban.

He married JoAnn (Washko) Risban.

He is survived by son- Paul J. Risban III, of SC.; sister- Gloria Thatcher, of Sheppardstown, WV.; sister- Paula Viscusi, of Johnstown; brother- Thomas Risban, of Cresson; and grandson Joe. Paul is preceded in death by his sister Elaine.

Paul was a member of Point Church.

He worked on the railroad as a welder.

What a unique person, he combined humor with wit. It was hard to tell if he was serious or kidding with his witty one liners. He always aimed to please and had a giving heart. He went out of his way to accommodate you and was there to help in any way he could. He was very skilled with wood working, cabinet making and tinkering in his workshops. His passion for family, church and friends made him very accepting and loved by many. Paul will be greatly missed; he was one of a kind. Rest assured he's with the Lord in Heaven, thanks be to God.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Mickle Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 12 PM at Mickle Geisel Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Imler officiating.

Interment will be at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg, PA.
