Ronnie Lee Johncour, 78, of Quaker Valley Road, New Paris, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Pennknoll Village.

Mr. Johncour was born on April 16, 1943, in Johnstown, PA, son of the late Harold and Delphine (Clark) Johncour.

On July 13, 1991, Ronnie married Candy (Butler) Johncour. With marrying later in his life, he had a family that he never thought he would have. Together Ronnie and Candy had two children, son- Cameron Johncour and daughter- Mandy May, who meant the world to Ronnie and then they were blessed with a granddaughter- Abigail May who also meant the world to him, Ronnie and his granddaughter were buddies and he even helped take care of her on a daily basis. Ronnie is also survived by brother-in-law- Randy Butler, Vero Beach, FL. Along with his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by sister- Saundra Zimmerman, father-in-law- Charles Butler, Jr., mother-in-law- Bernice Butler and sister-in-law- Sandra Gunsallus.

Ronnie graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School. He worked for Howard Johnsons for several years and then retired from Denny’s Restaurant in Bedford.

He attended St. John’s Christian Church in Cessna with his family.

Ronnie was a kind and gentle man. He was light-hearted and easy-going. He looked at the better side of things and never had a bad word for anyone.

Ronnie loved Springtime so that he could get out and work in his flowers and do landscaping at he and Candy’s home.

He was loved so much by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
