Obituary

Roy A. "Pete" Seese, 85, of New Paris, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, surrounded by his family at Nancy's Personal Care Home, Osterburg.

Mr. Seese was born on December 31, 1936, in Paint Twp., Somerset County, son of the late Maurice and Margret (Fyock) Seese. 

Roy is survived by his wife Marlene (Green) Seese of 66 years, daughter Lisa wife of Gregg Snyder, son-Tim husband of Linda Seese all of New Paris, along with 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and two sisters.

Roy enjoyed horses and sports, especially football, as he played for North Carolina State University during his college years. He retired from Burgmeier Hauling. Roy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford and was a volunteer for many years at the Bedford County Food Bank. He also spent several years as a 4-H leader and member of the Chestnut Ridge Horseman's Club.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Alum Bank from 9:30 to 11:00AM with a Funeral Service at 11:00AM with Pastor Vaughn Loose officiating.

Interment at Cuppett Cemetery, New Paris.
