Sara Mae (Martin) Nave

Sara Mae Nave, 93, of Market Street, Schellsburg, went to her eternal home with Jesus on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Nave was born in Bedford on December 12, 1927, daughter of the late Norbert Martin and Helen (Bence) Martin.

She was the widow of Ross W. "Buck" Nave he preceded her in death on August 23, 1983.

Sara is survived by Daughter- Elaine G. widow of Rick G.  Callihan, Schellsburg; Sister- Marlene Hillegass, Bedford.  She was preceded in death by Sister-Anna Mary Frazier and 3 Brothers- Robert H. Martin, Charles H. Martin and William R. Frazier.

Sara worked as a Telephone Operator for United Telephone as well as a Cafeteria Worker at Chestnut Ridge School District.

She was a member of Shawnee Valley Ladies Auxiliary, past attended of Shawnee Valley Ambulance Association, Mae enjoyed attending Chat and Chew with her church friends, she was a member of the Fun Bunch, a bowling league and enjoyed traveling. Sara was the 2019 Grand Marshall for the Schellsburg Street Fair Parade and she was known for her excellent pie baking. Sara was an amazing wife, mother, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was a member of United Church of Schellsburg.

Friends will be received on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 4-8PM and Saturday, June, 12, 2021 from 10-11AM at United Church of Schellsburg.

A Funeral Service will June 12, 2021 at 11:00AM at United Church of Schellsburg with Pastor Linda Kibler officiating.
Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery Schellsburg.
