Thomas George Eschmann

Thomas George Eschmann, 72, of Dibert Road, Bedford, Pennsylvania, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

Tom was born in Racine, Wisconsin on January 15, 1950, son of Otto and Evelyn (Bouwma) Eschmann.

He married his spouse Barbara (Koontz) Eschmann on July 21, 1973.

He is survived by wife Barbara, of Bedford, son- Terry Eschmann, of Bedford, brother-John wife (Diane) Eschmann, of Racine, WI; brother- Dennis wife (Carol) Eschmann, of Racine, WI; sister- Linda husband (Russ) Ferrara, of Scottsdale, AZ; sister- Jane husband (Gregg) Reilly, of Racine, WI; brother- David wife (Jannelle) Eschmann, of Racine, WI; brother- Ronald wife (Cynthia) Eschmann, of Bedford. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, in laws Donald & Helen Koontz; and sister-in-law Carol (Zembower) Koontz.

Thomas was a member of St. James Lutheran church. He belonged to Bedford American Legion Post 113 and a Honorary Life Member of the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Tom was also a member of the Southern Cove Power Reunion, Keystone Oliver Collectors Club and Oliver Harr Parr Club.

He attended William Horlick High School. Then continued on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force from 1969 thru 1972.

He was a Machinist & Draftsman by trade. Thomas enjoyed riding his Harley Trike, going to  tractor shows, hunting and fishing. Thomas could fix anything and he loved helping everyone. Thomas also loved spending time at his cabin that he built in the mountains.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, April, 16 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. at Louis Geisel Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 11 A.M. at Louis Geisel Funeral Home with Flitch Claycomb officiating. Internment will be at St. James Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Thomas George Eschmann to Bedford American Legion Post 113 or Fort Bedford Honor Guard at 3721 Business RT 220 Bedford, PA 15522.
