Wilma Ann (Diehl) Horner

July 25, 1943 — November 27, 2020

Schellsburg

Wilma Ann (Diehl) Horner, 77, passed away at her home in Schellsburg on November 27, 2020.

She was born on July 25, 1943, in New Bueno Vista, a daughter of the late Blair and Laverne Diehl.

Wilma graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School.

She married Paul Horner, on June 22 1962. They shared 58 years of marriage and had a loving and caring relationship. Paul and Wilma had one son, David Horner who was their pride and joy.

Wilma was a long-time resident of Schellsburg, PA and served the community doing taxes for 40 plus years, first for H&R and then self-employed from her home office.

A faithful member of Point United Methodist Church, Wilma served as treasurer for 30 years.

Wilma enjoyed crocheting, cooking and playing games. Her favorite, however, was spending time with family, spoiling her grandkids and doting on her great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Blair and Laverne Diehl and her son, David Horner, her brother-in-law Dean Horner and her favorite dog, Bunny.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Paul E. Horner, her daughter-in-law, Joanna Horner (Sommers), her grandchildren; Diane Weaver (Anthony), Jerald Horner (Bethany), Loretta Miller (Bradley), Janelle Horner, Brendan Horner, Jessica Horner, her seven great-grandchildren, her siblings; Emma Jean Smith (Edwin), Joyce Horner (the late Dean), Wayne Diehl (Kay) and Laure Sue Stewart (Donald).

Wilma is leaving behind a big hole in our hearts, but we are comforted knowing that she is in Heaven with her Jesus. The family wishes to thank the friends and family for the support and love they have shown through this difficult time.

A Private viewing and Funeral Service will be held with Pastor Shane Sciliano officiating.
